The EDG welcomes enquiries from potential students, postdoctoral fellows and visitors, who are interested in working in the broad areas of evolutionary demography and human behavioural ecology. Please contact Rebecca Sear () for further information. For those seeking funding to work with the EDG, past & present EDG members have been funded, or sought opportunities, through the following schemes:

MSc Students

The EDG is embedded within the Population Studies Group at LSHTM, which runs MScs in Demography & Health (also now available as a Distance Learning course) and Reproductive and Sexual Health Research. UK students who are accepted onto these degrees are eligble for PIC Scholarships. Further information on funding for MSc students at the School is available here.

PhD Students

LSHTM is part of the ESRC’s UBEL Doctoral Training Partnership, and Rebecca Sear is the pathway lead for the Demography pathway. Studentships are advertised towards the end of each calender year, for entry the following autumn.

LSHTM is also part of the BBSRC’s London Interdisciplinary Training Programme. Studentships are advertised around the middle of each calender year.

The Bloomsbury Colleges Consortium offers funding for studentships supervised across at least 2 of the Bloomsbury Colleges (LSHTM, Birkbeck, SOAS, Royal Veterinary College).

LSHTM also hosts a webpage with details of funding opportunities for potential PhD students.
