October 29, 2014

World Sight Day 2014 was just a few weeks ago, and the impression it made on the world has proven to be another successful year of spreading the word on the visually impaired. We are happy to present what Trinidad and Tobago did in their efforts to celebrate World Sight Day 2014.

The Trinidad and Tobago Blind and Visually Impaired Cricket Association held its 6th annual Walk For Sight on the 11th October, 2014 through the streets of Chaguanas in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

There was an estimated crowd of 200 persons and it was a success. In attendance were Optometrists Today and the Diabetes association who did screening of vision and sugar and pressure testing.

Our association with sponsorship gave out free coffee, breakfast, juices, water and T-shirts to all present. Various companies received awards for assisting the association in moving forward in the field of cricket, in preparation of training, and regional tournament.

Also in attendance were officials from the ministry of Sports, Health and other corporation.
