About me

I am an Assistant Professor in Learning and Teaching at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine where I lead academicĀ development, supporting colleagues in all aspects of learning, teaching, assessment and pedagogic research. I have considerable experience working with trainee teachers and before moving into academia was a deputy head in primary schools. My research interest include transformative learning in prison education as part of the Learning Together prison / university partnerships network and the impact of prison education on wellbeing. I work with a range of organisations including the Prisoners Education Trust, supporting those with a criminal record in accessing education opportunities.
