Statistician awarded prize for science writing

Anne Mills takes over presidency of iHEA

Professor Anne Mills, Vice Director and Professor of Health Economics and Policy at the LSHTM, is the new president of the International Health Economics Association. Her background is in research and research capacity strengthening in lower and middle income countries, countries in which iHEA has increased its membership over the years. Read more

World Mosquito Day tea dance celebrations

World Mosquito Day marks the date in 1897 when Sir Ronald Ross made his discovery of malaria parasites in a mosquito abdomen, establishing mosquitoes as the vector that transmits malaria to humans. To celebrate the day this year the School’s Library was transformed into a 1930’s style tearoom, complete with Lyons Corner House waitresses serving up mountains of scones and homemade cake, washed down with tea served from a decorative samovar in vintage teacups.
