Q. What happens if a patient drops out and doesn’t have their planned surgery for some reason?

A. The protocol covers this situation and we would like to follow these patients. If they agree, these patients will still be followed-up and analysed as ‘intention to treat’.

Q. Is there funding available to pay for the patients travel costs if the preoperative visit was an additional hospital appointment?

A. Yes, there is funding to pay for a patients travel expenses for one additional hospital visit.
