{"id":331,"date":"2012-11-05T10:45:02","date_gmt":"2012-11-05T09:45:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.lshtm.ac.uk\/alsfordlab\/?p=331"},"modified":"2014-11-26T11:30:41","modified_gmt":"2014-11-26T10:30:41","slug":"invited-talk-at-nottingham-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.lshtm.ac.uk\/alsfordlab\/2012\/11\/05\/invited-talk-at-nottingham-university\/","title":{"rendered":"Invited talk at Nottingham University"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nottingham.ac.uk\/biology\/people\/bill.wickstead\" target=\"_blank\">Bill Wickstead<\/a> for inviting me to give a talk as part of the Nottingham University <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nottingham.ac.uk\/biology\/index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">School of Biology<\/a> seminar series (17\/10\/2012). I spoke about <strong>High throughput genetic analysis in <em>Trypanosoma brucei<\/em> &#8211; deciphering trypanosome biology<\/strong>; an all encompassing title, but RNAi library screens access so many different elements of trypanosome biology that it&#8217;s difficult to be more specific!<\/p>\n<p>It was a worthwhile trip both socially and scientifically, with the talk generating some great discussions both during and after &#8211; it was nice to find an enthusiastic (non-tryp) audience for some of our recent and not so recent findings (mostly focusing on the drug screen outputs published in <em>Nature<\/em> back in February, 2012).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks to Bill Wickstead for inviting me to give a talk as part of the&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":116,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[8322],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-331","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-seminar","odd"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
