Dr Zain Sikafi graduated from MSc Public Health in 2012. He has gone on to set up Doctoori.net, a project focusing on providing Arabic speakers with access to health information.
“Since leaving LSHTM in 2011 I continued my medical training in General Practice. Working in one of the most deprived Boroughs in London has reinforced to me the magnitude of health information. The story became personal when family members in the Middle-East struggled to find reliable health information in Arabic.
This led me to bring doctoori.net to life, a syndicated partnership with NHS Choices. In a patient-focussed approach, we bring high-quality, reliable and accessible health information to the Arabic speaking world.
My time at the School is an incredibly important part of this journey – from learning about the fundamental Public Health principles, to equipping me with vital organisational management and modelling skills. My friends in the Alumni network have also been incredibly helpful and supportive.”
Using engaging patient focused articles and interactive tools Doctoori.net acts as an invaluable, trusted health resource.
The UK based editorial team ensure all our articles are:
