Join Professor Colin Butler for the launch of his new book, Climate Change and Global Health, this Friday 17 October, in the Manson Lecture Theatre at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, from 12.30pm – 2pm.
The book explores immediate and direct effects of climate change such as heat waves, secondary ones such as vector ranges and disease incidence, and long term (“tertiary”) impacts such as famine, migration and conflict.
Colin Butler will be joined by Professor Sir Andy Haines, previous Director of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and climate change expert, and Professor Anthony Capon, Director of the UNU International Institute for Global Health for the launch on Friday. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about the book.
