Giving Tuesday Update
#givingtuesday 2016 was a great success. This year we raised over £1,600 for the School’s Scholarship Fund. This would not have been possible without our volunteer bakers who donated their time and skills to whip up some delicious treats, and the staff and students who made so many donations at our Keppel Street Bake Sale; thanks to you we raised £298! We also received support throughout the day from our wonderful alumni community, who donated to the Scholarship Fund from near and far. These donations meant that we exceeded our goal of raising £500, as we received a total of £1,332 through online donations. Thank you to everyone who contributed, we couldn’t have done it without you.
If you would like to make a gift to the School, there are various ways you can do so. Please see here for further information.

SAVE THE DATE – 29 NOVEMBER 2016
Giving Tuesday was introduced to the UK two years ago as a way to give back and support and recognise generosity after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
You know that The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a uniquely powerful life-changing and world-changing place. To deliver on our mission to improve health worldwide, we need to support every talented student, no matter their background or financial situation. We need your help to do that. We’d love you to like, share and donate to support the next generation of global health leaders. Every donation, small or large can help us bring more more students to the School, to conduct more ground-breaking research and help change lives forever.
This year we’ll you’ll be able to take part for the School wherever you are in the world, as we’ll be sharing some of our favourite things from the last year, recognising the fantastic work LSHTM does and showcasing the talented students and alumni that we have. If you’re in London, at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine we will be having a huge bake sale. Please do drop in and treat yourself!
