London Marathon 2018 – Run for LSHTM

LSHTM have been lucky enough to receive a charity place for the London Marathon 2018 and we are now looking for our runner!

The marathon, on 22 April 2018, is one of the world’s most iconic sporting events with almost 40,000 people from across the globe taking part each year and spectators numbering in the millions.

In 2017, the Virgin Money London Marathon raised over £61.5 million for charitable causes and that included the School’s very own Dr Paul Mee, who raised over £2000 for the Steve Lawn Memorial Fund and ran the marathon in an incredible 3hr10mins.

We are looking for a member of the School community who is itching to run the London Marathon and who is passionate about the School and the work that we do. We will be asking the runner to raise at least £2000 with the help of the Development and Alumni Relations Office which can support any number of projects or funds of your choosing.

We will not charge an entry fee and will give you full support in the run up to, and on the day of the event. Our runner will also receive some coveted LSHTM merchandise and treats as a thank you!

Applications close on 25 October. International applications are welcome. If you have any questions or queries about applying, please contact The School only has one place for the 2018 London.

As a person with a Master’s Degree in Public Health (from Boston University School of Public Health, graduated in 2001), I would be honored to run and raise money for your school. I train hard and would love to spread the word of your school here in the States where I will do my fundraising! Thanks, Alison Pollock
