2019 Alumni Survey feedback

Thank you to everyone who completed the 2019 Alumni Survey.

This Autumn LSHTM celebrates our 120th anniversary. We sent a survey to our alumni to make sure we have your up-to-date contact information and so we can learn how you would like to get more involved with the alumni community.

Over 20% of our alumni took the time to complete the survey – a fantastic response rate. The top 5 most popular responses for getting involved were:

1. Mentoring

We are launching a mentoring pilot this year. The three programmes included in the pilot are MSc Public Health for Development, MSc Epidemiology by distance learning and PhD 2nd year students.  We will soon be in touch with alumni for these programmes with details about how to apply to be a mentor. If the pilot is successful we hope to include further programmes.

2. Tour of LSHTM

We will be organising tours of LSHTM through the year. Our next tour will be on Wednesday 28 August. LSHTM is also taking part in Open House London in September.

3. Buying merchandise

We are developing new LSHTM merchandise. You can browse our current range in our online shop.

4. Giving a career talk

Students really like to network with alumni and hear your tips and advice. This includes our programme of lunchtime career talks in the Autumn term and our Alumni & Student Networking Event in October.

5. Writing for the alumni blog or magazine

We are keen to hear from alumni and share your stories. We will be in touch with everyone who said they would like to write for us.

You can stay up to date with all of our events and activities at www.lshtm.ac.uk/alumni. We have lots of exciting plans to celebrate our 120th anniversary, including 120 events around the world. If you are interested in helping organise an event in your local community please get in touch and email Alice.Perry@LSHTM.ac.uk.
