LSHTM is playing a leading role in responding to the COVID-19 crisis. Our experts are at the forefront of efforts to map the progression of the pandemic, advise governments and global health bodies, and advance the public and scientific community’s understanding of the virus. We have launched a COVID-19 Response Fund to ensure this vital research continues.
Would you like to help raise money for our Response Fund? Whether you have an interest in running, knitting, biking, hosting virtual events or sitting in a bathtub of baked beans, you could help support LSHTM’s fight against coronavirus. Remember (as if you need reminding), social distancing rules and your countries guidelines must be adhered to at all times.
Our Fund has already supported amazing initiatives such as a project led by Rebecca Meiksin, a Research Fellow in Social Science at LSHTM, implementing research insight to raise awareness of the challenges and stresses of social distancing in young people. The project collected video content from those aged 18-27 and saw the creation of a short film with a broad range of experiences from young people, showing a sense of togetherness to motivate others to keep social distancing practices and reduce the risk of overwhelming the healthcare system.
