The Webinar\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Around the world, more than 100 million people are currently affected by sight loss due to cataract. Most cataracts can be treated with a safe and affordable 15-minute surgery, yet half of all people with the condition have no access to services.<\/p>\n

On February 11th 2026, the International Centre for Eye Health (ICEH) and the World Health Organisation held two webinars to discuss the publication of two key pieces of research in cataract, alongside new guidelines by WHO. More than 600 people from the eye health world and beyond attended the sessions over different timezones, coming together to discuss the future of global cataract care and research.
