A new version of the IAPB Vision Atlas<\/a> has launched, providing the latest visualisations and information around the magnitude and causes of sight loss globally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

First starting in 2017, the Vision Atlas became a digital platform in 2021. The latest version, launched at this year’s IAPB 2030 In Sight event, includes data from the Rapid Assessment of Avoidable Blindness (RAAB<\/a>) surveys, which are the largest contributor to global estimates of sight loss and its causes. RAAB is currently managed by the International Centre for Eye Health. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new vision atlas has five top new functions: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Including VLEG, RAAB, and 2030 In Sight Progress \u2014 the most authoritative sources in eye health.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Expanded country data pages<\/strong>
    Discover new indicators like eye care integration and track national progress.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Country comparison tool<\/strong>
    Compare performance across countries and regions to identify gaps and opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Enhanced visualisations<\/strong>
    Interactive charts, new research displays, and easy-to-understand dashboards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Advocacy-ready data stories<\/strong>
    Scroll-through narratives designed to support funding proposals, campaigns, and stakeholder engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
