\nDate:<\/strong> 17th January, 12.30-2pm<\/p>\n

The LSHTM Research Data Management Service will be hosting a lunchtime seminar on January 17th to discuss the use of mobile devices to perform data collection in the field. Three case studies will be presented, each covering a data collection tool used in a specific research study. Speakers will discuss the benefits and limitations of each tool and provide recommendations for how they may be applied in your own work.
\n<\/p>\n

Case studies will be presented by the following researchers:<\/p>\n

1. The use of Survey Solutions for performing computer-assisted interviews in research<\/em>
\nDr. Carlos Oya, Reader in the Political Economy of Development, SOAS.<\/p>\n

2. Applying CSPro to a modular household survey in Ethiopia<\/em>
\nDr. Keith Tomlin, Assistant Professor in the Department of Disease Control, LSHTM.<\/p>\n

3. Open Data Kit (ODK) and its use in research at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine<\/em>
\nDr Chrissy Roberts, Assistant Professor of Human Genetics, LSHTM.<\/p>\n

Attendance:<\/strong>
\nThe seminar is open to all researchers at LSHTM, SOAS and Birkbeck. Attendance is free with no registration required.<\/p>\n
