The School was officially opened by HRH The Prince of Wales <\/span>(went onto become Edward 8<sup>th<\/sup> who abdicated), <span style=\"color: #000000\">on 18<sup>th<\/sup> July 1929. <\/span>He gave a speech in the library and then was taken on a tour which included visiting the museum, laboratories and finally visited the workmen in a marquee in the south-west courtyard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;line-height: 150%;font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\">As part of these celebrations, we will be tweeting historical and contemporary images of the building and sharing stories on the building\u2019s history.
