It will provide advice for authors on how to address challenges in open access publication, and engage with the revision and peer review process that follows.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar will also highlight several emerging trends in open publishing and research, including the use of pre-print servers, and the newly announced verified pre-print platform, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1000.com\/verixiv\/\">VeriXiv<\/a> \u2013 a partnership between F1000 and the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The seminar will comprise a 15 minute talk, followed by Q&amp;A and open discussion. Authors are encouraged to raise questions on all aspects of the publication process with Wellcome Open Research and LSHTM\u2019s Open Research team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Session Recording<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The session recording can be accessed on gotowebinar by <a href=\"https:\/\/attendee.gotowebinar.com\/register\/2890971650647376730\">completing the registration form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>George Cooper is a Senior Associate Publisher at F1000, the open publishing platform provider for Wellcome Open Research. George has worked in academic publishing for over ten years, managing and developing publications in health sciences, global development, communication studies, cultural heritage and anthropology. Beyond his role at F1000, George is also completing a PhD at University College London\u2019s Centre for Publishing, researching political censorship and knowledge equity in scholarly publishing, with a focus on China.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LSHTM Open Research seminar series<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This event has been organised by the LSHTM Open Research workstream.
