EDAW is an annual campaign dedicated to raising awareness, challenging misconceptions, and advocating for improved support for individuals affected by eating disorders.<\/p>\n<p>It is estimated that over 1.25 million people in the UK are currently living with an eating disorder, equating to more than 1 in 50 individuals (source:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/url.uk.m.mimecastprotect.com\/s\/4oYYCoy14u7zrXwC1foTpErrQ?domain=edaw.beateatingdisorders.org.uk\">Beat\u2019s official website<\/a>). Despite these figures, stereotypes and misconceptions persist, and many people with an eating disorder fear stigma, which may prevent them from seeking early treatment and support.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s campaign aims to promote a more inclusive understanding of eating disorders, whilst encouraging those affected to seek help promptly by emphasising that eating disorders can affect anyone, at any stage of life.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Explore Our Library\u2019s Book Display<\/h2>\n<p>To support EDAW, we\u2019ve curated a special book display featuring a selection of books and e-books on eating disorders.
