Based in Moshi, Tanzania.
Jovin is PAMVERC Technical Advisor and Deputy Test Facility Manager. He is currently a PI of a study evaluating pyrethroid impregnated blankets for control of malaria in Nduta refugee camp and a partner in a Rotary funded programme for control of malaria and arboviral infections in Lower Moshi. He has been consulting for MSF to monitor and evaluate the implementation of malaria vector control activities in Nduta refugee camp.
Jovin an Entomologist holding a Master of Science degree in Medical Parasitology and Entomology and a PhD from Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College (KCMUCo), Moshi. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Dar Es Salaam. His research interests include disease vectors, their behaviour and control, insecticides and repellents.
