The NIHR Annual Report for 2012/2013 is now published.

The report is in a new format with four main sections illustrating the work carried out by the NIHR in the last year.

The four sections are:

Section 1: Patients and the public – looks at how patients and the public are at the heart of our activities by focusing on a number of our key initiatives and the opportunities that are created for public participation, engagement and involvement in research studies and trials.

Section 2: Contributing to economic growth – shows how the NIHR supports the life sciences industry, and contributes to the country’s strategy for strong and sustainable economic growth.

Section 3: Better care, better health, better value, better knowledge – has information and case studies showing how the NIHR is continuing to provide insight into the most effective ways of meeting the major health challenges we face in the 21st Century, and how we are helping to improve health and care in this country and further afield.

Section 4: The NIHR Faculty – focuses on the community of people the NIHR trains and funds to undertake and support research.
