Semi-quantitative cryptococcal antigen (CrAg) testing:

 The aim of this sub-study, led by the team at Institut Pasteur, is to evaluate a newly developed point of care, lateral flow semi-quantitative cryptococcal antigen test, CryptoPS, in patients with cryptococcal meningitis. The test will be performed in real time to determine antigen titre at baseline, in blood and CSF, and compare results to the currently established point of care test from IMMY. This sub-study will recruit all participants from each arm at the Blantyre and Gaborone sites.
