PASCAL is a multidisciplinary and multilingual database for science, technology and medicine. There is a particular emphasis on European content. The database is produced by the Institut de l’Information Scientifique et Technique of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (INIST-CNRS). PASCAL is an EBSCOhost research database.
Content includes over 20 million records (source documents include journal articles, books, conference papers, dissertations, books, patents, and reports) and coverage goes back to 1973. Keyword searching can be done in French, English and Spanish.
The main interdisciplinary fields covered are energy, environmental issues, materials, nanosciences and nanotechnologies, safety, cognition, and digital communication and information.
Usage of the database during the trial will be analysed when considering taking out a subscription to this resource.
