World Mental Health Day

10 October 2018 is World Mental Health Day (WMHD).  WMHD seeks to promote global mental health education, increase awareness of mental health issues, and advocate against stigma.  The Day also enables those involved in mental health to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to ensure mental health care is a reality for people worldwide (World Health Organization).

The Library has many books on the subject of mental health, with the majority being shelved under the classmark UJ (these can be found in the Barnard Room).  A search in Discover will provide a more detailed list of resources.  Topics covered include global mental health, mental health problems, and self-help books.

To help promote WMHD the Library is displaying a selection of books on mental health in the Reading Room.  The display is under the watchful eye of Sir Richard Doll, and all items may be borrowed.
