Last month the Archives team held the second Great War Bake Off, where we showcased the Archives’ wartime recipes from the Nutrition Collection. We were pleased to see so many staff and students take part, and to taste their creations, so to end the year the Archives service have found a few Second World War festive recipes inspire you this Christmas.
The leaflet below, published in December 1945, is from a series of seasonal recipes produced by the Ministry of Food during the period of food rationing in Britain during and following the Second World War.
