A very warm welcome to all new LSHTM students starting this Autumn.
During the week beginning 28 September 2026, we’re offering the following Induction sessions in the Library at Keppel Street:
Library Induction: using the Library, finding and accessing resources
(Note: all times BST/UK-time)
Lunchtime sessions:
Monday to Friday – 13:00 – 14:00
Evening sessions:
Monday to Thursday – 17:30 – 18:30 (note: no evening session on Friday)
These sessions are designed to help you to you get started using our resources and services straightaway. You only need to attend one of these repeated sessions. The content will give you an introduction to the Library services, help you understand your reading list and ensure you’re ready to find and access books, journals, articles and databases at LSHTM online.
We ask that you kindly book a place in advance.
How to book on a session:
1. go to the Student Bookings page.
2. Select the session which suits you by clicking on the Course Title.
3. Select “Click here to book a place on this event”.
An online version of these induction sessions will also be repeated three times during the week of 12 October 2026 – for those who cannot attend in person – and these can also be booked via the link above.
These inductions are aimed at Masters-level students, but anybody at LSHTM is welcome to attend.
